ALMOST THERE....

Well folks, were almost there on our latest design. As we've  been running this build alongside our daily project (which you can see the progress of if you click the link to the right - 'current project') it's taking us a while to get any major changes. One of the reasons ive not updated the blog for two weeks is that we really have got that WOW factor now. Aluminium sliding doors are in, concealed guttering is in, and Chris managed in one last final push on Saturday to get the decking finished too! The decking we chose is Douglas Fir to match the building. We didn't want to stick with the off the shelf pressure treated green decking you can pick up, the look was wrong and we wanted to stick to the chunky, stylistic lines to mirror that of the cube!

So here it is as of this fine sunny Sunday afternoon ....

Val's large olive trees in blue pots look great against the colour of the wood and the aluminium door frames.

You can see the lino we have put down, ideal as we have dogs and as its the main access to the house, we thought it best with wellies on after muddy dog walks etc! We have also insulated and plasterboarded the back wall, for insulation purposes, but also to give ourselves a solid wall to contrast the glazed sides.

Sancha has already claimed her space on the welcome matt! Don't try to move her at your peril!

Milly is very content sat on the large decked area. More photos to follow soon, you can see we have added a large double glazed panel to the right of the main door, for both viewing into the cube from the kitchen and for  catching guests coming through the gates early.

More updates to follow. Keep an eye on our Blog.
Also, check out the work were currently doing on our project in Gussage St Michael, just click 'current project' on the right.

Thanks
