So, its begun, the creation of a new and simplified way of living. To bring the inside out. Everyone has an idea about how they want to live, to enjoy a healthy, easy life that makes you smile and sit back and relax.
We have pulled together our 30 years of combined building and creating, into one hand crafted, beautifully designed space that brings the outside - in! We have been creating and designing stunning, 'eco' friendly buildings and spaces for many years and decided that we needed to pool all of our combined influences and creative design into one style of building that we can enjoy all year round.
We started off in timber frame projects, then ran a side lane of the business into log cabins and leisure buildings and we have now done a complete 360 degree turn and we have ended up with, The Cube.
Here you can follow the progress of The Cube, our new project; see the build pictures as they happen and let us know your thoughts. The Cube is constructed from Douglas Fir heavy timber uprights, pine 6"x2" roof and floor supports.
It will have three sets of double glazed sliding doors, solid double glazed panels and douglas fir timber panels.
Uprights and floor joists in. Roof timbers raised 3 inches for added head height.

Ok, so that was the end of Saturday's progress. Insulation, Damp proof membrane and Caberdeck flooring are next on the list. Before finishing up the hidden guttering and final roof touches.
Sunday's Progress. Chris managed to get the damp proof membrane, the insulation and the caberdeck floor in today. Plus he had already made the side supports for the steps and you can see from the following photos how well it all looks.
Caberdeck flooring, and the three step supports, made from Douglas Fir timber struts, tenon joints.
